Wiped Film Used Lube Oil Reclamation
Introduction:
Oil reclamation process using high vaccum molecular distilation technology. The various steps involved in the process are given below
Step #1
The Raw - material is taken to settling vessel from storage tank in whihc solid perticals settles down.
Step #2
The used Oil from the previous step passes through two types of filters i.e centrifuge & Oil purifier in which it separates oily sludge, water and Organic Maxs.
Step #3
The used oil from the previous step is taken into distillation vessel where it separates water at templrature 120 ℃ and distillation of light cut oil at 180 ℃ - 220 ℃ at vaccum 710 mm Hg.
Step #4
The used oil from the previous sstep is passed through a thin film evaporator under high vaccum, high temperature, in an induction heated molecular distillation plant [about 310-320℃ post temperature and at a pressure of 1mm of Hg.]
The distilled oil will have a viscosity of about SAE 40 at ambient.
Step #5
the distilled oil is bleached with active clay to get high colour base oil.
Step #6
The residual semi solid is incinerated in incinerator for complete combustion of oil content.
Note:
We have two nos of distillation columns in our unit.
One is dehydration unit and detail of it is described in Step #3
Second is thin film evaporator and detail of it is described in Step #4
